Can I choose which course I am hired for?

Not exactly. When making hiring decisions, we don’t take applicant course preferences into account—we need to ensure that all courses have adequate coverage. This means you should be comfortable being hired as an LA for any of the courses you indicated interest in on your application.

If you’ve changed your mind and no longer want to be considered for a specific course, you may revise your application (as long as it’s still open). If you can’t update your selections, please reach out to the LA Program at learningassistants@echo.rutgers.edu.
